7th Innovation Show: Advanced Technical Approaches

Date and place: October 21, 2025, virtual

Review & Technology Description

Content of the event

As part of the innovation showcase on October 21, 2025, we will offer three technical presentations showcasing current developments and solutions in cable technology and automotive production.

  • Sequential tape processing (Twin Tape Solution) for the Rotar 500 Series
Tobias Schreiner, Noah Gradl, Komax Taping GmbH & Co. KG

This presentation will explain sequential tape processing on the Rotar 500 Series taping machine. This technology enables two different adhesive tapes to be applied to one cable harness—a method particularly required for door cable harnesses. For example, fabric tapes are used for mechanical protection and nonwoven tapes for noise reduction. The presentation will provide insights into how this solution improves production efficiency and quality.

  • ClickID: AI-based worker guidance in assembly
    Justus Benning, Voss Automotive GmbH

This presentation will introduce the smart ClickID system, based on AI and sensors. During assembly, the smart glove provides real-time feedback to detect errors and missed connections early on. This leads to a significant improvement in process quality and a reduction in rework costs. Learn how this technology optimizes production processes and contributes to quality improvement.

  • Contactless, precise and efficient: Microdosing as a game changer in production
Ottmar Kern, IPR Intelligent Peripherals for Robots GmbH

The demands in automotive and cable technology are continually increasing: faster cycle times, tighter tolerances, and more sustainable processes are required. This presentation will demonstrate how these requirements can be reliably met through contactless, overspray-free, and highly precise microdispensing – for example, when applying sealants to seal housing systems in cable harnesses. It will also demonstrate the additional possibilities this opens up for industrial applications.

The Innovation Show offers a concise overview of new technologies and their applications in the industry. Take advantage of this opportunity for a rapid exchange of knowledge. To participate in this virtual event, please register using the form below.
