The VEC standard forms the basis for exchanging vehicle electrical system data between OEMs, suppliers, and engineering tools. However, the underlying XML schemas are very comprehensive and often too generic for specific use cases. The VEC Designer addresses this issue directly: It enables the definition of VEC interfaces from a business perspective. Relevant data structures can be selected, refined, and extended to meet specific project requirements via a web-based interface. This results in clearly defined, consistent interfaces that significantly simplify data exchange within and between companies.
