The "Level 4 Automated Driving for Trucks" technology aims to address specific challenges in the trucking sector and to efficiently and safely integrate automated driving functions into the existing vehicle architecture. This is achieved by considering both the electrical and electronic architecture as well as the vehicle's electrical system, particularly through the development of a wiring harness for a test vehicle. The presented technology underscores the need for innovative adaptations to meet the increasing demands of automated driving.

Mr. Matthias Korte from LEONI presented this technology as part of the trend outlook on June 15, 2023, at the Wiring Harness Transformation Hub. The focus was on the ATLAS-L4 funding project, which concentrates on the implementation of Level 4 automated driving for trucks.
