For our event "Innovation show" on March 19, 2024 we have carefully selected and compiled relevant topics.

The first lecture, "New possibilities for automated wire harness assembly through revolutionary innovations in fastening technology", is presented by Mr Koch and Mr Vollmer from the company ITW Global Fasteners presented. In the innovation show, they will present the latest development in the field of automated assembly technology. This is a new DIN 72036-compliant fastening solution that represents the next generation of efficient and practice-oriented manufacturing technologies. This innovation consists of a clip application that is attached to the cable harness using fully automatic bonding.

The second lecture "Catena-X – Potential for networking within the wiring harness industry and beyond", presented by David Görzig from SAND2036, highlights Catena-X, its ecosystem and the potential for the wiring harness industry. Catena-X enables end-to-end digitalization of the supply chain, ensures data control for all parties involved and is the first commercially available solution. This leads to faster data exchange, cost savings and new automation approaches in the wiring harness industry.

The 3rd Innovation Show was very well attended and showed the relevance of the topics for practice in wiring harness companies. Particularly noteworthy here is the presentation by ITW, where R&D processes were initiated on the basis of DIN72036 in order to develop an innovation in the area of ​​fully automatic clip assembly. The response to this and also to the Catena-X presentation was very great afterwards.
