For the first edition of our new event series "Innovation Show" on July 13, 2023, we have put together three highly interesting topics that we are very much looking forward to. The company Graphenest SA, a highly specialized company from Portugal, will give a presentation on the topic "Conductive Graphene-Based Plastics for Shielding Applications" This is about the possibility of using graphene as an alternative material, especially for shielding. Graphenest presents the potential from a technical point of view, but also addresses cost aspects, weight savings, production processes, shield performance and sustainability aspects.
The second lecture entitled "AI-Guided Robotics - Dealing with Variances in Production" comes from the company micropsi industriesThis is a Berlin-based company that has developed an AI control system for industrial robots that enables eye-hand coordination in real time. This means that automation can be enabled and carried out cost-effectively despite variations in the shape, color, light and position of the component. The presentation will explain the special features of the developed approach and show possible potential in cable and connector handling for assembly or end-of-line testing.
The event is completed by the company ArtiMinds Robotics from Karlsruhe with a lecture on "Advanced Robotics for the Automation of Cable Harness Assembly"ArtiMinds is a company in the field of sensor-based industrial robotics and automation and sees itself not only as a software manufacturer, but also as a comprehensive engineering service provider that supports customers in developing new automation ideas and solving complex robot applications. The software solutions and technologies developed enable the linking of industrial robotics and sensor technology in order to open up new fields of automation.
About the Innovation Show series of events: Here we are targeting technologies that are already at a higher level of maturity than the approaches in our trend outlook. Here, companies present advanced technical approaches of which prototypes already exist, the market launch is imminent or has already taken place and further adaptations are required for the wiring harness area (Technology Readiness Level >6). They promise great potential for use in wiring harness development, production or assembly. With this event format, we also want to think outside the box and, above all, present solutions from start-ups or companies from other industries. This can bring new impulses to the wiring harness industry. The series of events is aimed in particular at OEMs, assemblers and component manufacturers of the wiring harness who would like to find out about the latest trends and technologies in the wiring harness. The focus of the event is to provide information; the wiring harness transformation hub is available for those interested in in-depth bilateral discussions.
We would like to thank all participants for their attendance. Special thanks go to the speakers who presented their topics at a very high level.
For those who were unable to attend the event, we offer the opportunity to download the presented slides and watch the recordings of the talks. Our sincere thanks go to the speakers for their insightful talks and their agreement to make both the presentations and the recordings available.
If you have any questions about the presentations or the speakers, we are happy to help and can put you in touch with the experts if necessary. We are also happy to support you with further questions and in-depth discussions.
