The primary goal of the Wire Harness Transformation Hub is to support the industry in its transformation towards automated manufacturing and resilient supply chains. To do this, the hub analyzes trends and solutions both within the wire harness industry and in other relevant industries. In order to communicate these developments and promote exchange between business and science, the hub takes on a mediator role, participates in established industry events and organizes its own event formats.
With its partners ARENA2036, Bayern Innovativ and the Open Hybrid LabFactory, the Wiring Harness Transformation Hub brings together key players in the industry. These partners contribute expertise and networks to advance the wiring harness industry in a targeted manner in future-oriented technologies, sustainable solutions and innovation-oriented projects. Through their collaboration, they promote the exchange between research and practice and lay the foundations for successful change in the industry.
For Germany-wide knowledge transfer, 11 transformation hubs are being funded to support the automotive industry in its transformation and to combine research with practice.
The 11 transformation hubs will be financed with a total funding of €50 million.
